The Morgue Shift Tasks

Overview of every task in The Morgue Shift: sterilization, cremation, autopsy, embalming, retrieval, and cleaning explained.

Tasks in The Morgue Shift are the work orders that structure each night shift. The desk phone assigns bodies and procedures — you never choose which task comes next during standard gameplay. Mastering every task type is mandatory because shifts randomly mix sterilization, cremation, autopsy, embalming, body retrieval from freezers, and floor cleaning throughout the night. Missing sub-steps in any chain fails progress silently until downstream prompts break.

Core Processing Loop

The elevator delivers stretchers to the Lobby. You accept calls, collect stretchers, route bodies to the correct room, execute every interaction prompt in order, call the nurse when finished, and return stretchers to the elevator. Empty stretcher deliveries invert the loop — you fetch bodies from numbered freezer drawers in Ruang Jenazah before proceeding to sterilization or other procedures.

Task Difficulty Overview

Sterilization is most frequent and moderate difficulty — soap, water, optional shroud. Cremation has many steps but predictable timing. Autopsy adds computer data entry and moral choice traps. Embalming is longest with two minigames on floor two. Body retrieval tests map knowledge under time pressure. Floor cleaning sends you hunting blood stains hospital-wide with the broom already in inventory.

Task Pages on This Wiki

Each task type has a dedicated page with step-by-step instructions, common failure points, and links to map rooms where work happens. Cross-link between task pages when learning — sterilization feeds cremation and autopsy routes, so players who learn tasks in isolation struggle during mixed shifts.
